FROM THE PRESIDENT - June 2008

 

Dear Members,
Winter is here, it is wet and cold but we have great days at the Club. The Hungarian Night was a great success, about 300 people ate, drank and enjoyed the evening. Every second week we have the single club "Solo Connections" who dance the night away.

The Australian Skat Championship was held in our Club, we served Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snacks and Coffee for 3 days and all of the players had such a good time and voted to hold the event at the German Club every other year. It was a great weekend for our Club. The first prize was won by Adelaide. Winners for our Skat Club was Tasso Linke, Christine Bergmann, Hubert Wassner and Eberhard Vianko, congratulation to all.


The last "Member Meeting" could not been held, we did not had a quorum, but we informed the Members of current events. The next AGM is in October and I hope to see you all there. Very sadly we had to say good by to three of our Members, we will miss them all.


Stay healthy and come by the Club for a few happy hours.
